A
benefit concert for the family of Big
Bad Smitty was held here at BB's. It's truly a touching
event to see the outpouring of support that St. Louis shows
it's own!
It was a "who's who" of local talent that donated
their time to come down and share the stage with each other.
Local blues patriarch Henry
Townsend was on hand, as well as Oliver
Sain, Larry Thurston, Marsha Evans, and so many more.

John May warmly introduced Bonnie Smith, who shared these kind
words with us. "Smitty and I had 17 good years, and I know
he loved St. Louis, and he loved the blues...and all of you.
Thank you". |

Louis Blues Society members were on hand manning the door to
collect donations in order to help Bonnie Smith defray the cost
